The production of sunflower seed oil adopts processes such as pretreatment, pressing, solvent extraction and refining, scientifically controlling the physical changes during the oil production process to increase oil yield and reduce the residual oil rate in meal.

Degumming process
Peptide-soluble impurities in sunflower oil not only affect the stability of the oil, but also affect the process effects of oil refining and deep processing. Peptide impurities will cause oil emulsification during the alkali refining process, increase the difficulty of operation, increase the loss of oil and alkali liquid, and reduce the quality of soap stock; during the decolorization process, peptide impurities will also increase the consumption of adsorbent and reduce the decolorization effect.
Deacidification process
The deacidification process is primarily used to remove free fatty acids from sunflower oil. The commonly used deacidification method is alkali refining. Lye can neutralize the free fatty acids in sunflower seed oil, and the resulting sodium salt is not easily dissolved in the oil and settles in the form of floc. The resulting sodium salt is a surfactant that can bring considerable amounts of other impurities into the sediment, such as proteins, mucus, pigments, phospholipids, and substances with hydroxyl and phenolic groups. Even suspended solid impurities can be carried away by the floc soap bar.
Decolorization process
Sunflower oil is usually decolorized by adsorption decolorization. The principle of the adsorption decolorization method is to use an adsorbent with strong adsorption force to adsorb pigments and other impurities in hot oil, and remove the adsorbed pigments and impurities while filtering and removing the adsorbent, thereby achieving the purpose of decolorization and decolorization. purification. Our commonly used adsorbent is activated clay.
Deodorization process
After sunflower seed oil is deacidified, there will still be trace amounts of aldehydes, ketones, hydrocarbons, low molecular lipids, glycerol phenol oxides, clay, and residual solvent odor after decolorization. The process of removing these odors is called the deodorization process. In the deodorization process, high-temperature steam is first passed directly into the oil, and the difference in volatility between grease and odorous substances is used to remove these substances, thereby completing the deodorization process.
Dewaxing process
The waxes in sunflower oil will affect the flavor and mouthfeel of the oil, which requires a dewaxing process. At present, the production of edible oil basically adopts freeze crystallization method. After dewaxing, first-grade sunflower oil that meets national standards can be obtained.
